H&M is thrilled to announce its latest collaboration with Lanvin, one of the most iconic and influential fashion houses of the 21st century. This exclusive collection, designed by Lanvin's artistic director Alber Elbaz and his menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, will be available starting November 23, 2010, in over 200 H&M stores worldwide. The line includes both men’s and women’s wear, offering a unique blend of luxury and accessibility.
The first public appearance of the collection will take place on November 2, with the full launch following shortly after. This partnership is expected to generate significant excitement within the fashion community, as it marks another milestone in H&M’s successful history of collaborating with renowned designers.
Alber Elbaz, who has been at the helm of Lanvin since 2001, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “H&M and I have worked closely to bring the elegance and heritage of Lanvin to a broader audience. While I once said I would never design for mass-market brands, this opportunity intrigued me. Our styles may differ, but we share a common vision of bringing beauty and joy to fashion lovers around the world.â€
Margaretavanden Bosch, H&M’s creative director, added: “Lanvin’s influence on French fashion is undeniable, and this collaboration brings a new level of sophistication to our collections. The designs are rich in detail, combining traditional tailoring with modern flair. This is more than just a collection—it’s a celebration of fashion that everyone can enjoy.â€
Lanvin has long been known for its elegant, timeless designs, and under Elbaz’s leadership, the brand has become a symbol of refined luxury. His innovative use of fabrics, cuts, and embellishments has made Lanvin a favorite among fashion enthusiasts. In 2006, he also launched a successful menswear line, redefining the way men dress with a mix of casual and sophisticated styles.
This collaboration follows H&M’s previous partnerships with designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, and Sonia Rykiel. For the first time, H&M will unveil the Lanvin collection through a short film released on November 2, allowing global audiences to experience the collection before it hits the stores.
