France's merger of the largest lingerie company
According to the French "Textile", Chantelle, a well-known French lingerie company, recently acquired Orcanta (64 stores), a French lingerie distribution company, and has become France's largest women's underwear manufacturer.

The Chantelle Group has Chantelle and Passionata brands, 110 chain stores called Darjeeling, and thousands of counters located in major department stores and supermarkets. Production has basically moved to the Maghreb region, Hungary and Poland. There are only two factories in France. The group's turnover has been for several consecutive years, an increase of about 10% annually. In 2005, the group’s turnover was 285 million euros, 80% of which was achieved through exports to EU countries. It is expected that it will be able to reach 300 million euros in 2006. So far the brand has not entered the Chinese market.
